One-of-a-kind is one of the only appropriate phrases to use when attempting to convey the true beauty of this property through words, and even that phrase falls horribly short in describing the astounding aura surrounding this property. It has a renewing quality to each and every person it welcomes that cannot be attributed to many places on Earth. Perched high above an ocean-like valley, the view from the deck is simply awe-inspiring. If peace, privacy, and a place to renew yourself is that for which you are searching, you have found that and more. This is our American take on a French chateau and your opportunity to retreat from all things normal. It may sound like hyperbole, but trust us…it’s not.
As secluded as it gets, the lodge—which we anticipate you will enjoy calling your own—is situated on three and one-half acres of professionally manicured grounds flanked by forest. On your approach, you are greeted by a towering gate, constructed of the same British Columbia Cedar logs as the home for which it stands guard. Down the circular lane, as the spectacular lodge fills your view, is a Koi pond (absolutely NO fishing—only viewing them in their peaceful habitat, thank you!) as well as a dock and seating. Upon entering this palatial sanctuary through its double front doors, there is a uniquely calm feeling all around you. Each and every bit of the home is built from Canadian Cedar, and it exudes a sense of oneness, as if it naturally belongs right where it is, as now do you. In front of you in the cathedral-like living room is a wood-burning fireplace with a backdrop of windows exposing the valley below you, stretching what seems like endlessly into the distance.
There are five bedrooms (with a second floor bonus room that is currently used as a 6th bedroom), with two bedrooms on one wing, two on the opposing wing, and the master bedroom upstairs to afford maximum privacy to all guests. There is a ceiling fan and high-quality bed in every room. In the master bedroom, there is a private balcony with a small cafe table and two chairs. Also in the master bedroom, there are two additional single beds about the right size for children, should they be needed. There are four full bathrooms. The master bathroom has a walk-in shower and double vanity, while two of the remaining bathrooms incorporate claw-foot tubs with shower-heads above. The basement bathroom is equipped with a traditional shower/tub. The kitchen is fully equipped and is separated from the living/dining room by a bar lined with three log barstools. There is a dining table by the fireplace with space for six, as well as a breakfast table for three between the kitchen and dining area.
In the living room, there is a flat-screen television with two plush leather sofas. As for the basement, leather couches are elevated for theater seating in front of a gargantuan plasma screen television equipped with digital cable, every channel offered by the local provider, and a DVD player. On the opposite side of the basement are a ping-pong table and foosball table. The basement is walkout, and the view outside these doors is just as spectacular as the one from the decks above. We do have a fire pit available for guest use, but there are no fires allowed outside the pit. There is central, zoned heating and air conditioning throughout the property as well as high-speed wireless Internet access and cellular service. A washer and dryer are available for your convenience. This property is ideal for family vacations, romantic getaways, or corporate retreats.
With that said, if you are looking for a place that is immaculate and well maintained, whose beauty and workmanship are lauded and respected by all who enter, then we most certainly are for you. We are always available and eager to address your inquiries. Thank you for visiting!
